La Familia Iraheta: Our Summer

Our summer has been a fun and busy one! It started out with some exciting news. We're expecting baby #2 in February.

It's positive!!

For the 4th of July, we met up with Brigham's family at Deer Creek Resevoir. Elijah really loves the water. When it came time to go watch fireworks, Elijah had fallen asleep so we just heard them from a distance.

The end of July brought the World Financial Group convention in Las Vegas. Boy, was it hot, but we had a nice hotel room with a big pool. We're lucky Elijah is such a good traveler.

On the way home from Las Vegas, we stopped for a night in St. George. The next morning,we visited the St. George Temple Visitors' Center.

On the car ride home, we stopped at Cove Fort in central Utah. It's been renovated to look like it did when it was in operation in the 1800's. It was pretty cool. Elijah loved the fields to run around in after a few hours in the car.

On August 3rd, Elijah turned two! This year, mainly for my sanity, we decided to have a small family party at Brigham's mom's house. It was quite the success. I did attempt to make the pinata which didn't turn out as planned (it was supposed to be Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.), but it still worked like a pinata. All in all, we had a good time.
